Bring a little witchy autumn magic into your daily life as you use these to-do list notepads.
Halloween, or Samhain (pronounced "sow-in") was an ancient Celtic festival marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter, celebrated around October 31st.
Back in the day, turnips were used in the UK (instead of pumpkins) to carve jack-o-lanterns. It wasn't until the 20th century that pumpkins were used. This influence came from the USA.
Another custom was 'guising'. This was when people would dress up in costumes and go door to door for food or coins. This eventually evolved into contemporary Halloween costumes and knocking for confectionary and sweets. If you were unlucky, you may be given toothbrushes instead.
